The weather looks outstanding! I hope to get there to check out your Birds but I'm picking up my motor tomorrow so I might not make it.

I thought Craig couldn't make it? Great to have Teri joining us this time! Is she dragging Brian along with her?

No Brian this year. We'll have a very nice convoy though.

What a great weekend. It was great seeing past (old sounds so mean) acquaintances and seeing some new ones.
Sorry to hear of the problems Craig faced trying to get there. Sorry you couldn't make it Brew. |

I"m late to this thread, Bob told me about it this morning or I would have already chimed in. Wow, what a great trip, awesome show, great friends and a wealth of information gained. Also got to experience the sneaky kick in the pants that Bob's apple pie has. Hit me about halfway across the parking lot as I was headed back to the room Friday night. MIssed Breakfast with Bob Saturday morning because of it.
Tipp City was a blast as well. Can't wait for next year and already looking forward to MCACN! Bob is taking home a Concours Gold for the Gold TA, plus 2nd in his Class! I was privleged to drive that car on to his trailer and help strap it down! I'll post a bunch of pic tomorrow or Tuesday. About to crash in a motel room in Knoxville for the night. Will finish the drive home tomorrow. BJ

Trans Am Nationals - 2017
O.K., what the heck. I'm in a motel room with nothing better to do, so poured another bourbon and here are some of my cell phone pics from the weekend. I took a bunch with my good DSLR camera and I'll post them after I get them off the camera.
First up is Cameron Lang, a sweet 25 year old girl who is restoring a 74 Formula with her dad Mike. We spent a lot of time talking about my car and looking at pictures of hers - which will be done and at the show next year. Friday night at the apple pie fest. Dan is explaining the best way to savor the apple pie! Dennis, Terri, Shaun and Bob Doug taking a peek under Bob's Gold car. Darrell leaning in for a closer look during Concours judging of Bob's car Doug really getting intimate with Bob's car. My car at the TA Nats! Got a lot of compliments on the car and the story behind it. Mike's car looking awesome! Cameron and her dad, Mike at our dinner at Harrison's in Tipp City L-R: Me, Bob and MIke at Harrison's in Tipp City The Drink Specials at Harrison's in Tipp City. Very Cool Cool shot at twilight of my car in Tipp City. I know, the quartz lights have got to go. I actually had a set of repop Guide Power Beams ordered to be picked up at the show, but Firebird Central failed to get the order on the trailer. They'll be correct by MCACN. Another with Mike's scoops in the foreground. Man I love the look of the Formula scoops! Bob's and my trucks and trailers, locked and loaded, ready to depart after the awards ceremony this afternoon. And finally, here is a cool video I took as we were headed home from Tipp City. Is was following Bob's car, which was being driven by Darrell. The 38 Special music is compliments of my freshly restored AM/FM Stereo with new front and rear speakers. Don't you love the look of the scoops from this view point https://youtu.be/ldlNbvoKeaU BJ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Great trip and show. Best time was the cruise as cars ran cool and dry..avg 13 mpg too. Teri, Sean and I got a lot of thumbs up. Mostly Teri with her hair flowing in the wind. Dinner and booze with a great group and trip to Tipp city. Disneyland for F body's ...amazing turnout and atmosphere. Glad I was able to survive the trip...
A little roadside tailgating... Park with Sean at show. Riding home. BTW: That's Dennis Jensen Formula not mine... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

We had a great time as usual at the Nats and is always great to meet BJ (Overuld), and see old friends Bentwheel Bob, Mike (Judge273), Mike (HFR), Sean (PureSD), Teri (LadyTATA), Mike and Cameron, Darrell (NoTime), Doug Pulsekamp, Paul Freese, Frank Gatarz and many others. And par for the course, didn't take as many pictures as I wants and should have, but for the few below of our little caravan to and from the show (brother Dan and friends Cory and Joe).
Thanks Bob of the apple and strawberry (whoa!) pie...my throat is still recovering. Congratulations on the Gold! The car really deserved it. Dennis |

...forgot to mention Jeff Dennison and my wife Diane who braved the trip with a bunch of old cars and no A/C for the 300 mile drive each way! Her and her family came to the Tipp City cruise/show and dinner at Harrison's...they were so impressed for a car show being non-car folk.

So sorry to hear about Craig's (Norwood) engine issue on the drive to Dayton. Fortunately, it happened relatively close to home and hope there is minimal damage. Your presence was certainly missed...same with Brian's(Brewster) too.
