Yeah - too many doors. Hard to imagine someone throwing $30,000 at that 4 door shell that was posted earlier.

And too few pedals on the one Greg posted.
I get a kick out of the story about the elder lady giving it to the daughter starting college, then fast forward to being parked in a garage since the late 90s. Must have took her awhile to decided "She didn't like it."

Also; describes all the minor rust problems then says: "they do have have some rust, but again not bad, considering how old it is and being in Georgia."

A. The Titanic is not bad, considering how old it is.
B. It's not like they use tons of road salt in Georgia. Did it spend time sitting with flat tires in a field of tall grass before it was given to the girl that didn't like it?

A Datsun from that era doesn't need any help from road salt to rust. Just add water. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Datsun fan and have had three z cars. Have one of those right now..but boy do they rust!

Apparently somebody thinks a plain jane 1979 Lemans Safari wagon is worth $13,000 just because it's a barn find with 31,000 miles.

I'm a Datsun fan also. I've owned three 80s ones. It's not that they rust, it's the way they rust - at the weld seams. Seems a domestic will rust a hole in the quarter, or in the floor. A Datsun will rust a hole-less quarter or floor away from the rest of the car.

Cutting a rusted panel off and replacing it is one thing. Cutting a panel off, then cutting the panel underneath it off and replacing that one, then welding the top one back on is something all together different. Every year I spend over $100 on spray anti-rust films that supposedly run down in the seams - it requires pulling off interior and trim components as well as pulling up the carpet. Then the cars looks and smells like a grease ball. Great fun.

Yes it is. though they'll never match the grunt of a V8, it's always somewhat refreshing to see different power solutions.
