Not too bad a price if you need an intake anyway, or if you need it for matching. There are cheaper alternatives that may perform a little better, but there is the cool factor of original factory parts. I do see a lot of used Edelbrock intakes for $50-$100 if you use craigslist and just want a basic intake. Whether it is a good deal??? $400 isn't going to be far off from the best deal you will ever see, and it is available now. You MIGHT find one for $200, or get lucky and get one the seller doesn't realize is worth more, but they are pretty rare, so paying $400 for something you may never find for much less could be a great deal as long as it is a factory part and not a repro part.
Ames sells a repro version for less-

Looks like a deal. Intake WITH Crossover. If I needed one, I would sure jump on it. ; )....onthe other hand, its not BUY NOW its "opening bid".

Seems to be a bargain with the Exhaust crossover.

FWIW.....that's not the "ported" version that The Parts Place offers. It looks like someone may have gasket matched the runners, or atleast one runner.

Guys....that intake is a repop.

The reproductions were based on the 72 intake and have the raised boss on #6 runner that the original didn't have. Part number is in the wrong location, wrong size, machined area around the water neck is too large, etc. etc..

This is what a real one looks like.

$400 with a crossover isn't a deal? So your repop comes with a crossover? Who?
Where?

definitely a repro, he says he just recently bought it new.. & as mentioned its opening bid so you might get it for that price or it could get bid up. & its plus $30 shipping.

the parts place sells theirs with crossover for $499 free shipping. so in the end its about the same give or take the difference more bids might do.

& i think the repros are cast with the shallower intake plenum like the SR factory replacements. these are a decent intake but you can get better performance from a cheaper torker2, street dominator or rpm etc.
