Default 1963 Pontiac 421 S.D. Super Duty Catalina heads 980 cast 9771980 RARE - $2750

I have an extremely RARE pair of 1962/1963 Pontiac Catalina Super Duty cylinder heads. They are referred to as '980s' with a full part number of 9771980.
If you know Pontiacs you know that these are some of the most sought after FACTORY vintage race heads used on the infamous early 421 Super Duty Motors. Of course the dual quad or 2 - 4bbl. being the most desirable race version. These heads were superceded by the 544127 or '127' Super Duty heads in October of 1962. All 421 Super Duty motors were discontinued by January of 1963 although some Catalina S.D.'s were built until April of 1963. These particular heads have been O ringed (Affects absolutely nothing) and knife edged back in the day by a VERY qualified Pontiac racer. I just had them magged and there are NO cracks present. Grab these rare heads while you can. You may NEVER see another pair of these! Text or call me. Thanks! $2750.00.

I have seen knife edged cranks before. Looks like a good buy.

Do these heads already have the center exhaust ports separated, or are they Siamesed like "normal" heads.

Are the rocker studs screwed in or pinned. It looks like one is broken off.

Factory studs are pressed in and pinned. As I remember the stud boss needs to be milled to use screwin studs.I think 61-63 has done the swap. Also remember it takes a diff header as the center exhaust bolts are set wider than any other D port head. They are a good buy IMO.Tom
