Unbolt the manifolds from the heads. Also remove the starter. It should then lift almost straight up.

I have two load levelers. Both of the Crank variety with different handles and nut/screw setups..

The problem when you pull the engine and transmission together using one of these is that the handle will bump against the firewall or the hoist boom depending on which way you have it attached as you turn it, limiting the angle you can get. You'll end up having to remove the handle and turn the big nut with a wrench or ratchet, which can also hit things.. Kinda slow and tedious.

I will never use them again and instead will sell them and buy the pivot tool after seeing it in action a while back. Want one?

Just do your self a favor. When you get the motor back in, before you bolt the motor and trans together, slide under the car and

MAKE SURE THAT THE CONVERTER WILL SPIN FREELY AND MOVE BACK AND FORTH ABOUT 1/4 IN OR MORE!

If not the torque converter is not lined up inside the transmission and will destroy the pump when you start it. Yes I read you made a stop for the converter, but a simple check may/will save you a major head ache!
