just convert your stock 66 dizzy to electronic. Many of them out there.I run a Dave SB HEI and also pertronics in stock dizzys.FYI,you will need to have a 12V wire to the coil to replace the resistor wire.Tom

I believe a stock HEI will fit if a small amount of material is ground off the dist.
HEI has a better triggering mechanism.

Ditto on Dave's Small Body HEI conversions: http://www.davessmallbodyheis.com/

I first found Dave on the internet about 20 years ago, and thought he was full of crap about how good his conversions were. I bought one, just so I could see one in person, and report back what a phony he was.

Turned out to be an excellent product! I've since used him on every project that I could.

You send him your stock distributor. He rebuilds it, and performs his conversion. The wiring coming out will look a little different, and the HEI module is mounted externally (either remotely, or to the bottom of the housing), but few people will ever notice.

Thanks guys, Tim.

If you are polite and patient with Dave, and ask nicely, he MAY have a core that he will use for you. Sometimes he just does not have any though. If not, you may be able to find one on eBay and have it shipped direct to Dave.

Tim,
Not 100% sure about HEI fitting with T/power but do recall some people saying HEI will fit a little grinding. If you have a HEI or can borrow one, you can check?

The bigger cap [ bigger gap between segments to reduce cross firing ] of the HEI & more accurate triggering of the HEI are both pluses that small cap dists do not have.
