Default Headrest kit 1967

Purchased the catalog 67 Headrest kit, nice to have the safety and I like the look of the 67 headrests. The body manual shows install drawing, however, the kit came with these 4 plastic sleeves/insulators?

The original manual doesn't show them in the pic, any suggestions?

Thanks!!

They look to be shims to use under the bracket.
At a guess I would think just to assist for a straight lineup, might need only one and/or none?
Just a guess? Have you reached back to supplier for any input?

Left them out when I did mine. Not needed.

I believe they keep the headrest posts that insert down into the seat back from riding on the springs when the headrests are moved up and down.

Great pic Bob!!

That's exactly what they are..makes sense

You'd think everybody who buys em would have asked the supplier.

Appreciate the replies, thanks

Curious what you guys did when you added headrests to existing covered seats.

I can get the bracket lined up, but looks like the tab that holds the chrome insert requires a small cut to get under the vinyl.

Going to spend some time this weekend putting them in, will post what I found.

just wondering how the headrest installation came out. Are you happy with the result? Does it look factory? Possible to post a photo? Thanks
