Thanks, if that’s it then maybe 1,800 hp can be had with around 20 lbs of boost in a procharger now that I’ve pondred about it....maybe!

Yes but like stated before it drives drag week, all the car shows in the area. Steel bumpers, original glass, original steel body and hood! It is a 56 Chevy.
Your car would make a ton more power with a turbo or procharger because you could run more boost. Your motor is ready for it, not sure you want to spend money considering you said you are at the end of drag racing.

Yes it is. If he could leave on power he could go faster. The power management is what holds back car from going faster.

George would make 1600HP with a very basic single turbo.

How old is your cam George? You could probably gain substantial hp from a cam change.. minimize overlap on a boosted combo and you will waste less boost... no idea what you have but the same engine with the same boost can gain power...
A lot is lost on the overlap... high pressure will always go to the low pressure side.. just a thought...

I’m ok, car can only take so much power and I’m perfectly happy going 170.

I get that, for sure. If you wanted to go quicker and faster, I suspect a change to a high helix blower would do it, provided everything else is set up for it. My car routinely runs sevens with just one-to-one on the blower. The 10-71 high helix runs 536 ci per revolution, IIRC. I'll bet a used high helix would be the simplest way to go (and of course I always lobby for a Birdcatcher---simplicity in tuning with hat and port injectors).

Anything larger then what i have would require a rise for the blower so it would hit the distributor. Anyways like I said I'm kinda at my Race Cars limit when it come to power, if only I knew back in 1993 what i'd be doing now i'd bought something else.
