He was one of my favorite actors. It's hard to believe the Bandit is gone. RIP Burt, you won't be forgotten. Thanks for the memories.

Oh man, just saw that.

Only last night I was up late and saw Smokey and the Bandit on Amazon Prime ... sat there and watch the whole thing.

By the way, there is one scene where the TA is making a U-turn at speed over relatively flat pavement and is carrying the inside rear wheel about 6" in the air ... without a whole lot of body roll either .... surely that's not typical for a stock TA of that year?

My favorite ... Gator and Deliverance

A cool dude for sure and sold more Pontiacs than any dealer in America. I had the pleasure of working for Burt on his horse ranch in my teens right before I left for USMC boot camp. He will certainly be missed by us fans of Trans Ams, and fun movies.

Smokey and the Bandit came on TV last week while I was in Toronto. I should have went to bed but just to dam good to shut it off. Its was unedited. Not sure I ever watched the unedited version. LMAO.

When Gas Monkey did the bandit car and stopped at his house you could see he looked pretty weak.

Yes. Although he got a lot of deserved mileage out his Bandit persona, he made a lot of seriously good movies. Who could forget Deliverance? I like another movie he made later in his career call Stick.

Cool Dude!

Always seemed to have that infectious smile on him.

He had the ladies also.

RIP, Chris

Mr. Reynolds supplied me with hundreds of hours of entertainment. So sad that he is gone.

Always wondered why he left "Gunsmoke". The "Gunsmoke" episodes with Mr. Reynolds playing "Quint" were some of the very best. "Gunsmoke" might have gone 30 instead of only 20 had he not left.

Jon.
