Default 29th Annual Pontiac Uprising in Great Bend

Went to Great Bend to the Uprising, about a 4 hr drive, in the rain, and despite the weather had a good time. As usual the folks in the Wichita GTO club went all out to make this a great event; unfortunately Mother Nature wasn't nearly as accommodating. The car show was held indoors so the weather wasn't as much of a factor but the mist and drizzle kept everyone off the track until afternoon.

Unfortunately, as soon as the track was dried the timing lights in the left lane quit working forcing them to use only one lane for time trials. I had to get back home Sat. evening and not wanting to dodge deer in the dark, I left early so I don't know if things got straightened out so that actual racing could take place or not.

Anyway, thanks again to the Wichita folks for all their work in putting on this event; hopefully next year the weather is more cooperative.

I did take a few pictures if anyone is interested.

Oh look, here's my car.

These pics are the right size on my computer, I hope they don't show up as gigantic on everyone else's. In a bit I'll get some more pics of cars on the track put up.

Yeah, you and Mike both were among the missing. That did, however, leave more beer for the rest of us at the Friday night tech session. Murf and I did our best to take up you guys' slack.
