Default Repo AC PF-24 Oil Filter

Anyone use these? Not cheap but appear to be correct for 70 Trans AM
Concerned about the quality and function
Like most repo products the quality and reliability is questionable
Although this is made in the USA .

There were "stickers" or decals offered at one time. These could be the newer units with those decals. The newer PF 24 are Blue. I would think you could make them yourself as the new PF24 are cheap .

The PF-24 decals/stickers are available at $5. Thinking the white case was original. Still researching this. Thanks!

The white oil filters appear to be a genuine AC Delco product.

They're called "Professional Classic Design" filters.

"Has a burst-strength five times greater than most engine oil operating pressures after the oil reaches operating temperatures (as long as the normal engine oil operating pressure is not greater than 51psi), for enhanced durability."

So would you say that an 80 PSI pump would burst these? That seems a bit scary. My race car engine call pull 100 PSI cold with 20-50 Wt oil. It's a racing Fram filter. Never had issues.

Thanks for the reply. I read that too. Thinking that the burst point would be 5 time the 51 PSI normal oil operating pressure. or 255 PSI ??

I cannot find an authentic GM link to this filter, only repop stuff like the link above...
Maybe GM is getting into the authentic classic parts business?

Well I ordered one, it's on backorder. So will have to wait and try another day. The $7 Wix will work for now. Really can't see the filter looking form the top.

Here's my contribution to this thread:

It's an NOS PF-25 I bought the better part of twenty years ago (purchased without the original box) - because I thought it was an OE for my Firebird..

Yeah, I thought that'd been discussed before.
