I'm not exactly sure "who" they are, but I have seen their name in EMC for a number of years, and I think always with a Pontiac.

They always seem to do well and I believe all the entries I have seen utilize a stock block.

Small world effect;

Coworker said yesterday that he and his friend started the Engine Masters Challenge over Tequillas on the back deck. Knows of the strong Pontiac offerings.

Said gasoline is for washing parts, alcohol is for drinking, and nitro is to go fast.

I just saw an article that stated the winner was a 405" Ford. Built by a guy named Scott Main. But there isnt much I could find with any numbers on the contest.

Maybe that was the 2018 winner? This thread has been brought back for 2015, it appears.

THAT cam sounds great for Street/Strip except for excess Street lift.

I can't read the entire article, but how does a Packard 352 V-8 get in the vintage class (pre-1955?) when it debuted the same year as the Pontiac and Chevy V-8?

I know because I have a 1955 Packard. 1954 was a S-8 flat head. Don't get me wrong, the 1955-56 Packard V-8 is a fine engine...I just don't understand the classification.

Maybe it has something to do with how long they were in production? I don't know when the Packard died but I remember when the Pontiac V8 did.
