And, lo and behold, you are correct.

It's not a real RAII. Was referred to me as a RAII ragtop, and it's possible it was told to me in earnest without consideration of pedigree. I hate contributing to something misleading so apologies.

Bummer.

I guess that explains why the VIN was painted over and unreadable.

Nice looking car just the same...

Apparently it's stunning. The guy who restored it has a very good reputation:

I am thinking about selling my WY block. It is on the list. It is listed as belonging to a member in GA. I purchased it a couple of years ago. I would be selling it with a set of Ram Air II heads without casting numbers, just the R and A on the outer exhaust ports. The heads are rebuilt with good original valves, fresh valve job and new springs. I wanted to see if there was any interest from the people on this thread. Any input on what they may be worth would be appreciated. Thanks.

There are more bodies out there than motors Scott, I'm sure it will find a good home.

If you know of someone in need, send them my way. I'd love to see this engine find its way back into a real RA II car!

How many sets of Ram Air II cylinder heads?

Casting dates?

Original production and Service Replacements?

There was a Ram Air II unveiling at MCACN this past weekend, I don't believe it is one of the cars on the roll car list. It is an Aegean blue Automatic car. It was done by Level One in Colorado for a guy out of Washington state. Is this one of Gary's former cars? It is a 07A build date, I believe it would make it the latest build date on the list? Here are a couple of photos from the show and level one's website.

Here are a few more pics. Unfortunately, I concentrated on the engine compartment and didn't take any over-all pictures. Gary, I have you're old Verdoro Green RA II off the frame and have started the restoration.

We started this thread 7 years ago , and have a total of 21 cars now.
Out of 246 built - 199 4spd // 47 Auto
It started with 12 cars.
A few more and we can hit the milestone of 10%

I never knew which color Blue, MC's car was.

5. Blue - Blue interior - Automatic
Numbers match, intact survivor
Gary Oklahoma
documented by longtime collector/owner

Aegena Blue is my favorite color on Birds and Goats in 68
That car is beautiful !
Would be cool to see some 'before' pictures of it too.
