I found one of those in a wrecking yard 25+ years ago and I installed it. No issues here.

One of my prior cars was rewarded with a Solenoid shield. Amazing how i forget to find another in the U-Pull-It.

A few years ago the Starter wires had a composite tube (from a G-body 301?) to pass by the Headers. Well that tube developed a cinder-glow from the Headers a few times. Finally caught fire one day. Since tossed it and put an Aluminum tube there. THAT was one of the 1st things i looked at Saturday, and figured NOT to move those wires in case of crusty insulation.

IMI mini starters are a tad better i believe. Or a RobbMc also. I switched to a IMI on my last car. Never had another problem. I already have another IMI for my current build.
