Front and rear spring recommendation
Looking for a good stock location spring set up for the track on my 1969 gto. Car is stock weight with highport heads and northwind intake. 295 60 rear drag radial and 28" front runners. Car sits high with stock springs, would be nice to have it lower if possible.

I have moroso 47200-100 on the front of my car. I can't find the number on the rear springs. I will keep looking.

While not a 69, I am running the lightest Moog 6 cyl springs in the front and station wagon springs in rear. Ride height in the front is about 1 1/2 lower than factory.

Santhuff 175 springs on the front, really needs 200's. The headers are paying the price for the look right now. Replacement lowers on the back from opgi, 2" drop. I had a 3" drop on it that looked great, but my shocks were bottomed out in the stock mounting spots. I have the shortest 5" stroke afco makes and i had to cut the foam bumper in half . The 2" was a compromise.

On my 72 I have the original springs in front and in the rear I am using 2.5 x 14 170lb coil over springs. Weight of the 72 is 3950lbs.
On the 67 I am using 6 cylinder springs with a coil cut off in the front. The rear I am using 2.5 x 12" 150lb coil over springs. 67 weighs 3200lbs. |

the correct thing for me to do will be to put a little stiffer spring back on the front and lower it with the spindles. My fronts dont seem to be bound up and the car works great, but its realistically probably not enough spring rate for that heavy of a car. At ride height the upper control arm is angled up a touch and im not a fan of that because i suppose in theory it could be causing side load on the upper ball joint.

This is what I have going on now. Its sitting too high for my taste. There is plenty of room for the 295 dr to fender lip, need 2 inches I think

The front is a little bit lower because I changed the front control arms to TRZ.
