I run a 1 1/2” Wilson tapered, so squared up the intake to match the spacer and blended the clover leaf down about 1/2 way in the plenum. Didn’t get too crazy cause I switch to a ET Genie on top of a HVH when slowing the car down.

Thanks all for the conversations. Back in 2009 this site was very helpful with the build I’m referring too with clover intake question. Now a days we Pontiac guys seem to turn on one another rather than truly help. The Camaraderie walking through the pits at my first Norwalk Nationals 2000 made me happy to be a Pontiac guy. The Aftermarket was gain gaining steam but we where years behind everyone else. Pontiac was still in the game because everyone stuck together and was willing to help and share knowledge.
That being said, I’m just glad this topic didn’t head off in an unintended direction. I have pulled the engine to replace the aluminum rods. They have been in service since 2005 and have done a fine job as the bearings look like new. The combination works great and makes great power for what it is. I’m going to have some work done on the intake and looking for a Northwind 4500 for HP’s to compare against my Victor. Last edited by gogtogo; 12-17-2019 at 08:50 PM. Reason: Grammar |
