Nothing would surprise me about these RamIV Jverts .
I think the number is 12 of the 1970 models known ... something in that range. Believe it is also the same total number that were produced. I have 6 Auto and 6 Manual in my file history. Pictures of 11 of them. No pics of what i think is supposed to be an Orbit Orange Automatic, don't have anything on that one at all. 4spd Pepper Green/Green/White Top 4spd Pepper Green/Black/Black Top - unrestored last pic i saw 4spd Orbit Orange/Saddle/Gold Top 4spd Red/Red/White Top 4spd Red/Sandlewood/White Top 4spd Silver/Black/Black Top Auto Atoll Blue/Blue/White Top Auto Black/Sandlewood/Sandlewood Top Auto Granada Gold/Sandle/Sandle Top Auto Orbit Orange/ ? / ? Auto Silver/Black/Black Top Auto White/Black/Black Top - unrestored last pic i saw Of the 11 i have info on, all are either restored - or need restoring. Unless the OrbitO Automatic is a pampered life sole survivor. idunno I've only seen 2 RamIV GTO Verts 1 4spd 1 Auto Full total for 1970 RamAir IV GTO/Judge Convertibles is listed to be 37 23 GTO Convertibles are hiding maybe all are in Oklahoma |

My first view of the one I now love. She sat like this for 43 years in the back of a garage. This picture still excites me like it was yesterday.

At the Nats in Denver around 1996, there was a black RAIV Judge ragtop. I believe the owner was from Nevada. No PHS, but PHS wasn't such a thing back then as it is now. Know of it? Always wondered whether it was real but owner claimed it was.

For 1970
the only Black Ram4 JVert i know of is the Automatic car. Black / Sandlewood Int. / Sandlewood Top I think the guy Tony "something another" who was a dealer (maybe custom classics) - had it Frame Off Restored. Then sold it for whopper-jack money. (almost 15 years ago) Whomever bought it did take it to at least a couple of shows going by the scenery of pictures #2 (probably POCI) and #3 (probably MCACN) Haven't heard anything else about it since then. Extremely beautiful car Definitely a Bo Derek of the automotive variety. Telly or UncleJ might know more about its past, present, and future. Picture 2 & 3 also have it wearing Uniroyal Tires. Never seen a 70 GTO/Judge with those before. Last edited by Baron Von Zeppelin; 04-07-2020 at 12:55 AM. |

Triple Black RAIV Judge Convert
Quote:
Coronado gold with saddle interior and white top. I had a WW block and bought a set of 614's and then painted it black. Sorry to burst your bubble. I sold it a few years later with the original engine back in it. It went to the Chicago area. |

Thanks for the kind words BVZ. Sold my business a few years ago and now have the time to catch up on these great forums especially during this virus lockdown. I’ll post phs for both tomorrow.... VG is loaded! The guy that has the original engine in his garage shared great stories of how it was the street race king of So Cal back in the day.

Here's mine. It has only four options: 1)The Judge package, 2)Tinted glass-windshield only, 3)M20 wide-ratio 4-speed, 4)Heavy duty springs and shocks. I'm planning to build a Ram Air V tribute with it. Seems like the perfect car for it to me.

This was a WT1 that was for sale in New Hampshire in 2010 maybe?? I have more pics of it on photobucket... Asking price was $15,000. Polar White with black interior, 4 speed car. Needed some body work and the PS quarter needed to be replaced.

Wow - that one has the rear stripes installed backward too. I never realized how often this happens.

Its happening so much the last few years i think its becoming a new trend/fashion.
Once you spot it, you can't un-see it anymore, it gets worse each time you look at the car. < dark glasses still doesn't help |
