Default oil pressure gauge line ferrules

Does anyone know a source for the 1/8" compression gauge line ferrules used in oil pressure gauge line kits?

Getting tired of buying new kits just so I can change length, re-route etc. Occasionally I can get them off the plastic line and use them one more time, not so much on copper.

Would also come in handy for making my own lines for various other shop related gauges.

Mark, I've seen the barrel shaped ferrules but I'm not sure if they would work with the existing fittings on oil pressure lines which use a funnel shaped ferrule. Be nice if they did, I've found those at about $6 for 50 of them

Quick, I'm trying to avoid the whole fittings, just need the ferrule. Most of the hardware store compression fittings aren't compatible with the oil pressure line fittings.

Very similar, but appears to be in metric sizes ... or maybe -AN sizes.

I got tired of changing them out all the time and leaks so I went with the braided oil pressure line. It screws on at both ends, just have to get adapters to go from origin size to line size. Never have to deal with another ferrule again.

That might be the solution for me right there. I'm far less likely to damage, kink or burn that line.
Thanks

There's a fitting supply store near my old house - that's where I got my stuff when I re-plumbed my oil pressure line in copper. I seem to remember buying most of the stuff from Summit, then going to that supply store for the last little pieces that I needed.

Back then, I didn't know what I didn't know. If you know what you're looking for, you should be able to track some down from a similar fitting supply place.

I see NAPA sells the barrel type .... I'm thinking those might work anyway long as one end of the barrel is the same angle as the funnel shaped type, and it looks like it is. Oil pressure gauge line kits probably use the cheapest parts they can find.

I've tried the barrel shaped before and it's kind of hit or miss with how the end contacts the nut side. The ones that come with the kits are flat on that side and seal much better. I like you have also been looking for replacements with no luck yet.

I've bought a bunch of unions over the years, just to get the two cap nuts for the barrel shaped ferrules.

The cap nuts for barrel shape are a tad longer and have the taper/angle in the bottom so they squeeze instead of crushing long ways.

Need to match cap nuts with ferrules

Jeez, there is the solution right there ... just get a couple of the proper nuts and I can order 50 of the barrel ferrules for about $6. I think the nuts are just a standard straight pipe thread and should thread onto most gauges and tap locations.
