Oh yes!! Sometimes the stuff on the bench looks like a bomb went off. I try to keep things organized.

Moved West, then South, then North. Filtered stuff but not Projects. Got a few Projects DONE.

The undone Projects need all them spare bolts, paint, tools, you all know.
Wifey understands that I ain't sitting the couch, the Projects keep me actice, healthy.

Latest "new" Project is to plumb an air hose to the Garage front Wall for Conpressed Air to vehicles outside; cars, mowers, blow things clean. Gonna keep the compressor tucked on the backwall.

MIGHT even get the Spare Engine Short Block together!

Trasnmission stuff ended up in the BSMT. All set up.

HIS, you will love hoses plumbed outside.
Have them and electrical outlets in front and back of garage along with 3 work benches. 1 in front, 2 in rear.
50' hose in garage and 100' on both hangers outside. Back is great for nasty jobs and spray painting, etc.
Have a gauge with pressure relief valve at compressor. Just switch hoses as needed.
If fact my son been using front one getn ready to pull engine out casue both my cars are still apart...

One thing I have learned, never clean up open space. Always have something on the table or bench. A open space is a invitation for someone else to store something of their own.

Need take pics and update photo bucket one of these days. Got a lot out from garage.
3/4 larger stuff gone out of rafters that where sagging.
Can almost see cars and walls. Well some sections of them...
A lot of boxes on top selves and under benches to go through.
Amazing stuff collected past 40 years. Not just car stuff, but left over supplies and tools used to rehab a house.
Found stuff had forgot last 20 years.
Some really cool things are Gramp's old carpentry wood box with hand operated crank drill and assorted bits under work one bench. One drawer in same with huge iron chisels, plains(sp?), and few other his stuff.

Northern Tool and Equipment has some kits for plumbing such a deal as you mention. I need a kit for my garage.
I bought a 25 gallon 175 psi Sears compressor in 2001. Was going through a divorce. Kept watching prices on these, and Sears finally dropped the price lower than ever. It's not large enough capacity for some tools, but serves the purpose!!!

In Arizona, or Canada???

Sounds like good advice. Then I could answer honestly "No, there isn't a lot of space in my barn." when family/friends ask about storing stuff.

My friend keeps a spare tire laying on his car trailer so he can tell folks that it is loaded when they ask to borrow it.

I've been going through the garage in anticipation of a move. Found a full set of sheet metal for a '74 B-body, multiple wiring harnesses, heads, intakes, radiators, and a new set of brake parts for a '71-76 big car (I obviously was planning to redo the wagon at one time and forgot I ordered the parts...). Plus like 11-12 coffee cans\buckets of body bolts, spacers, washers, and brake lines from other cars I've taken apart over the last 20 years...

It's like Christmas!

Luckily, for me, I am the only one working in MY garage. However, when helping my wife as her sous chef (read that as kitchen drudge) when I take something off a shelf, out of the fridge, etc.,
when I go to put it back the space is now occupied which something else.

Worked on our home's garage about 6 weeks ago. -Always had too on the south side of the garage for wife's vehicle. The north side, I went through enough boxes, resorting, removing loose plastic interior parts out of waaay too bulky boxes/ bubble packed all the plastic panels. Nearly everything on that side, managed to box with others of the same. Ended up getting enough room to pull in the XJ in case of a hailstorm. Still not enough room for my truck, just what I liked after having PDR work done removing prev hail dents

If anyone stumbles on a bolt for the battery tray I could use one for my 1969 GTO

I know OPI and others have them but to ship a $2.00 bolt cost 9.20 plus tax.

Do you think a chain part store carries them?

Thanks

Hi fyrffytr1,

Thanks for the link.

It is the ones used to mount it to the radiator core support and fender.
This is the one I am looking for.
https://www.opgi.com/fasteners-hardw...y-ch20306.html

I purchased a few parts from NPD but they didn't carry the tray bolts. I was also shopping OPI but again their shipping costs for one item I was looking at the fan shroud was very high compared to NPDs free shipping when you spend over $300.

Thanks
