Vacuum advance removal
I need to remove my vacuum advance from my 77 lemans with a 350 olds. I need to remove it get my distributor timing right.

You don't take vacuum advance off to set ignition timing. You pull and reclock the distributor if cam timing is right.

Well don't worry about it right now, I'm currently doing the starter on my lemans cause as I crawled under to get a little more slack for my battery cable. (Cause woo sparks are scary.) I could almost unscrew where the cable goes from the starter itself

There is no reason I can think of to remove the vacuum advance. Just remove the vacuum line attached to it and plug the hose so you don't have a vacuum leak.
