Need to drill a rear hole for a power antenna in my 1964 GP
I have purchased a rear factory power antenna for my 1964 GP. Since the car never had one I need precise dimensions on where to drill the rear hole in the quarter panel. If any member can measure where this goes and send it to me I would appreciate it.
Not need to take yours apart, just try to triangulate it as best you can by using things in common that I can use on my car like how far from the trunk opening, how far from the roof trim, how far from the R/H parting surface of the quarter where the tail light bolts, things like that. Thanks in advance. Dave 1970ls5@bellsouth.net |

Use a Greenlee punch set. Do NOT use a hole saw on a drill...

I think the OP is looking for measurements. I'm pretty sure he knows how to do it.

Just need measurements from someone that has a rear power antennae, no need for them to remove theirs, just get me a ballpark and I will take it from there. Thanks, Dave

I haven't seen the guy yet, he usually comes to this weekly Saturday cruise. He has a 64 GP with the rear power antenna.

Pontiac sold power antennas over the counter as a kit back in the day. Each of these kits had a paper template to lay out the hole on the top of the quarter and to lay out the holes on dash for the switch. Surely a member here has that kit and could scan the sheet. 61-62,63-64,65-66,67-68 and 69-70 should be the same.
If you don't have any luck here then contact the Pontiac Oakland club as they have a large resource library. Good luck. |

I currently have the power antenna out of my 64 Bonneville convertible. I have no idea if the rear antenna placement is the same as on the GP but I can try to grab some dimensions if you still need them. Maybe even a pic or two as well.
