1962 SD 421 Catalina Royal Bobcat - the real deal
https://www.quickbye.com/inventory/i..._all_inventory
Not mine, but posting for a friend. The original May 1962 Motor Trend test car prepared by Royal Pontiac and driven by Jim Wangers. A real SD and a real Royal Bobcat. Contact information is in the link. It's a beautiful car. Article from October 2008 High Performance Pontiac magazine: https://www.hotrod.com/articles/hppp...na-super-duty/

Unfortunately your link doesn't work. I went to the main page of the quickbye site and searched from there, and didn't find the car that way either.
The link to the Hot Rod article doesn't work either. |

A reminder about what it says at the top one every For Sale section:
Stay out of the Classifieds, even if you think that your 'expert advice' is needed here. All of you experts that think you're doing the hobby a service by analyzing, correcting, educating and generally trying to 'Father' the classifieds, MUST refrain from doing so. The abuse of sellers in this format must end. If a particular seller engages in repeated bad business practices here on PY, we have a forum for that. Not cool anymore. Leave the sellers alone, keep your 'helpful advice' to yourself and out of their ad space. Don't say their stuff is too expensive right there in their ad. Don't say that you sold the same thing for much less a while back. Don't inform them about current market conditions. Don't try to sell your car or parts in their ad thread! That's the lowest you can get! If you feel the need to communicate with the seller, just PM him. We consider this a common courtesy for the posting member, the readers and the management of the PY Forums. Effective immediately, we will strictly be enforcing this long standing policy. Members who disregard, forget, can't help themselves etc. will be immediately suspended. Repeat offenders run the risk of being permanently removed from the PY Forums community. We encourage all readers to click on the 'ALERT' button in the topic where you see this policy being disregarded. It will help to fix classifieds much quicker as the moderators simply can't read every classified ad. |

He was having a problem with the link earlier today. It is on Hemmings' website now. Hopefully, this link will work:
https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds...a/2414372.html Hopefully, this link will work on the car's story. If not, it is on Rocky Rotella's www.PontiacV8.com site: https://www.pontiacv8.com/articles/2...trend-test-car
