I have used "Classic Exhaust" on 5 cars now. They fit well and sound as a factory car did. Reasonable prices also.

Also looking to switch out the exhaust on my 70
Spoke with Gardner, nice guys, but is their exhaust that good to justify paying almost quadruple what Classic charges?!

Gardner exhaust fits just like originals did, goes on easy, no mods. They actually have originals they use to compare theirs to. Its worth it in my opinion.
Here is how mine sounds with 455. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Kx3hN1kTvZo&pbjreload=101 |

That said, 70-74 makes you wonder how well it will fit without some mods

When we replaced these at the dealer due to rust, the stuff we got from GM parts was usually Maremount, sometimes Walker. Some of it was made in Quebec as I recall, some in Toronto too. Installs from rear to front like Gardner does. I have had a Pypes system and had to cut and bend the over the axle pipes a few times to get it to fit, and it finally did, sounded good, but a lot of work for a desired stock system. Late in 70's and 80' Arvin bought a lot of old equipment and drawings etc to make this and sold it cheap to dealers.

I bought the 2.5'' transverse with x pipe from pypes. For my 70 T/A build. Hoping it will fit without much trouble.
I have the Gardner on my 65 GTO . but I needed a concourse system with correct hangers ect. |

I will probably be back to Gardner for the next one (I put a Gardner on 20 years ago and it fit, looked, and sounded great).

I would bet that is a generic picture from 69 model year firebird 400. I have installed their system on my 72 TA and it's only the head pipe and the over axle pipe to the crossflow muffler. Sounds 100% like they did new.
