Default Block ID

So for years I thought the block in my car was from a '67 GTO. Don' t know how I concluded that but I now found out its a 455 from I think 1973.

The numbers on the block are:
485428
728611 XL
23A226848

Is there anyway to find out what kind of car it was in from the factory? The heads are 1971 96 heads so no clues can be found there..

Thanks for the info, so it could have come from pretty much anything then. One day I will just have to pull it and find out what parts are in it.. One day...

I think the Atlanta plant made A-body and Grand Prix.
(at least 72 was I believe)
