Roots blown fuel supply
Opinions wanted especially from people actually running a roots blower on the street.
Street driving only! Carbureted 433” w/671 blower. Shooting for 10psi maximum boost. 330cfm SD ported Edelbrock heads. Cam is a Spotts specked 248/258 @ .050 .541I .541E. Don’t want to over build for street use only. Was thinking of a 140 lbs/hr Aeromotive SS pump pn11213 with a return style regulator pn13212. 3/8” lines both ways. I already have the regulator.

I don’t drive my car on the street….. I could my engine is more then capable of being street drive BUT what I do know from experience is BIGGER is always better as much as you may not think so people always eventually always want to step up.

Misprint, yes 140 GPH.
93 Octane. Static will be about 7.9:1. Trying to stay safe. I’m retired George. Just trying to build one last fun car, will never be able to afford “stepping up”, nor do I want to...

I'm not sure what was so funny...Or, is this just another situation where you dont have a clue about the topic?

With the 3/8 lines both way's you'll be fine even at 10 pounds.
The return line is a good way to go and will make things even better. So go for it. GT |

This is what I did.....works well, no problems 505 cu in 871 750 QFTx2 use a bypass regulator with return Aeromotive A-1000 pump back near gas tank......#8 to engine...#6 return. You won't need this much. I run 7lbs or fuel pressure.....8lbs boost......Sorry if this reply is late, just saw this post. How is your project coming? Eric

Thanks Eric. I thought the A-1000 would be overkill for my setup so went with the SS pump. I’m also using QFT 750’s. Black.
I work out of a small one car garage. I’m retired and money has gotten a lot tighter these days so progress is slow but I enjoy the process. Your car is nicely done. I’m sure you’re enjoying it!
