Can we help a fellow member with cancer treatment?
johnsma22 is fighting cancer. He lives in Taunton MA just down the road from me when I was there. He had a rough fight with Covid but now he's fighting cancer. He's an Air Force Vet and a hell of a nice guy. He fixed my furnace in the middle of the winter when nobody, and I mean NOBODY else could. If you could just donate a few dollars I and his family would really appreciate it.

He should be checking with the VA. When I had cancer they paid for everything.

I usually don’t do go fund me fundraising. But in some cases I make an exception if I feel it’s legit. I remember johmsma22 from my early years on PY, and he’s a good guy. I’d be happy to send him what I can. I’ve been blessed in my life more than what I deserve, so I’m happy to pass some of it on.

Several weeks ago, my daughter was diagnosed with cancer. A friend of hers began a Go-Fund me for her, and even though she was uncomfortable about it, it has been a blessing for her and her young family. So in that spirit, I pay it forward to John. May it help him and his family.

Thanks for the generous offer nytrainer. The reason I posted about my daughter was to validate that large and small donations to fund raisers like this can make a difference. I don't want to detract from John's plight, and I know that if my daughter saw this topic, she would ask people to give whatever they can spare to John's family and not her. She honestly would.
