Tempest-engined landspeed racer
Anybody notice the 1962 lakester on BAT? It currently has a turbo'd Tempest four. I assume it originally had a larger engine, since 'D' class is indicated and it ran 220+ mph.

Anybody else on this planet campaign a M/T hemi Pontiac for eleven seasons? ... or has built a record breaking DOHC hemi four cylinder Pontiac? ... or has driven a couple laps of Nuerburgring with Tri-Power Pontiac power?(back in 1967) ... or has a Pontiac born the same year as Jim Wangers? (1926} |

OK so this was discussed some time ago here. Not even where it was posted. Now I will do some more digging and link it.

I was just reminded by an oldtime landracer that before SCTA had blown classes, a blower moved you up two classes. So an 'F' engine (3 liter) moved up to 'D' if blown.
