That '74 is a nice driver quality car. Needs a cosmetic resto to get the huge dollars, and it's a 1974 non A/C Auto..

I am probably one of the few.. I prefer a non-A/C car as the A/C is just in the way. My '73 has working A/C and I never use it. These old A/C systems are kind of a waste on a 90+ degree day IMO. They don't perform like a modern car. When its 90+ out... my classics stay in the garage and I drive one of my modern vehicles.

If the A/C system is fully charged with R12 and other parts are clean and proper, there should be no reason it can't chill you out of the cabin, even on a humid 90 degree day. Those systems were more than capable if the condenser is clean, and the correct refrigerant is used. I get 38 degree air out of the ducts on my 1977 T/A during a hot day.

I purposely looked for a non a/c car way back when I was looking for a classic car. I know I'm not driving it everyday so in the summer I don't mind just driving with the windows down. I don't like the extra clutter and weight under the hood.

Just curious. On a 2nd gen F Body, there is a large foam seal in the main ducting for the dash. The foam can disintegrate, and air can leak around the opening, lowering the intensity of the air through the vents. Also, the main duct under the glove box, which this seal is attached to, is a known weak spot, and can crack, leaking more air.

I'm really conflicted about the 17's. On some cars they look great, on others not so much. They either sit too high, or too low. This one looks fantastic, they got it just right.
But regardless, to get it right you have to lower the car some. That plus the fact that the overall tire height is less would seem to make the ground clearance too low for my comfort.

All about "stance and looks?" Ever driven an original car, or worse one with poly bushings with taller wheels with no sidewall... over any bumps?
The stock suspension is SOOOO Slow, the car is on the next bump as the tire is just coming down from the last.. Result.. 1 ton truck ride... GM Never put bigger wheels on these cars until they installed a much faster Strut system. One way around this is to put on Global West Del A Lum Bearings in the control arms so they move freely, and use a good gas charged shock, OR put Qa-1 adjustables in your converted ( to Global west bearings) control arms. stiff suspension beats up the car and my back....

That's another good point...the roads are horrible here and I'm due for a stock suspension re-engineering...

I can't recall a time where I have seen a more eaten up tag, meaning that this could have been a rotted turd at one point. The pop rivets are obviously wrong.
