64 Lemans Kick Panels
Hello.
I was working on fixing some lights and started pulling up the carpet, console, buckets, etc.. My car originally came with AC. I took the kick panels off. I noticed on the passenger side, the black air duct under the dash, goes into a cutout inlet on the side. Not sure how to describe it. I will get pics posted. On the driver side, nothing is running to that same open space. Almost looks like a speaker could fit in there. Is this a normal layout? Also, from what I understand, the kick panels are different for a car with or without AC? My AC doesn't work, but wanted to keep the car as original as possible. Open to suggestions, any pics someone can post, etc.. would be appreciated it. Thank you. The paint job on these 2 are horrible as well. I believe I can only get black ones, if needed, and repaint myself. |

The plastic paints from Rust-O-leum and others work very well

All the air from the evaporator enters the car through the cutout on the right side kick panel area. No matching cutout on the left side.

Thanks for the info. So are you saying the passenger side kick panel has vents on it and the driver side doesn't or?
Sorry, I just want to make sure I'm ordering the factory correct panels. Thanks again. |

The 64 a/c car does not have manually operated kick panel vents.
The left side kick panel is a solid panel and right side kick panel has a large bulge to cove the air duct entering the car from the evaporator. See pictures in our vendors catalogs. |

Should be able to remove any old paint jobs with lacquer thinner.
If that is too slow - can use heavy duty oven cleaner spray. Neither will harm the plastic. If it turns out the plastic is actually worse condition than the paint - then its time for new pieces. |

Check with Legendary Interiors, they might have them.
