Anyone else get an email from this guy. George if you are real, I apologize for the accusation, but your emails do not make sense to me.
The first one started with asking me to send a list of parts I need for my car. I cannot remember when I posted a wanted ad, so I asked for a list of stuff he might have. I was a bit offstandish to begin as I dont usually respond to solicitations. He sent me a pic of a beautifully restored 79 S.E. that he said was parting out. I responded that the car looked too nice to be parted and he may get more money selling it as a whole. His next response was he needs surgery and wont be able to drive the car, the reason why he's parting it. None of this makes sense to me? |

If it was an e-mail he may not be on this site at all. Still sounds like a scam to me. If he can't drive the car because of surgery how can he take it apart?

Certainly sounds scammy. However, I checked and found no records of a George Potter ever being a member, either in good standing or banned. Can you explain better what you mean when you say the email was linked through the forum? I'm not sure how a non-PY member could do that.

This day and age? I’d definitely be wary also. Sounds like a “You pay me for the part, and I’ll be sure to never send it to you “ deal. You know that police can’t do anything about a scam where you voluntarily send someone money.

I cant post the link from pyforum because I deleted the emails. Not that I would know how to anyway. But it was linked through the py forums etc. I get update messages in my email the same way. Looked like the same thing. Thats why I opened it to begin with. Just keep your eyes out.
