Kre tri power intake
Looks promising, from fb. A double 4150 top qould be a nice option as well.
So we're finally close enough to release this for everybody to see. This has been a project we've been working on for over a year now. Already done some dyno testing, carb testing and working of finishing up the small bits and pieces. This is our Kauffman Trade Wind Tri-Power intake. Setup for both Holley 2300 series carbs and stock Rochesters. Goal with this intake is to get those big horsepower numbers out of your Poncho that just couldnt be done with a stock intake. Now up to 750 HP can be had. We've got these up on the web site for all pricing. I'll be showing some dyno testing results against other setups in future posts to show the performance gains.

How freaking cool. A big single plane Tri Power !
Well done. I have said it before, KRE makes the most hard core Pontiac speed parts for us. Thanks Jeff. |

Looks like a capable flow inspired by the OFFYL Dual Quad design. Like the separated water crossover.

I like the bolt-on carburetor mounting plate as well. Lots of potential options there. The KRE guys come up with some interesting pieces . Look forward to some dyno results and customer reports.

Kudos to the Kauffmans here.

That's basically an offy 360 65> low riser intake but the bolt on top feature and separate crossover are nice.

People are going to do a lot with this intake. I see a 2x4 top in its future. Maybe a throttle body EFI top for the street ?
Since Jeff has a running engine with his Hemi heads it would be wonderful to see his billet RAVs on a running engine. |

And a water neck that clears the later non dimpled timing cover.

I'll tell you what- this new piece is opening up some very interesting experimentation possibilities for me.
Once I get this installed and see what it does with my current 3 massaged Rochesters- compared to my existing Wilson extensively ported first run 66 PY intake- I'll surely be calling Jeff back to order just the top with the provisions for the 3 Holleys. I can then pull the carbs off my 435/427 Corvette- which are dialed in tight- and throw them on this intake just for an easy back to back 30 minute comparison. After that, I'm sure I can easily fabricate or probably even just buy something from Jeff to be able to pull the Dominator off my 454 Camaro which is also dialed in to the gnats ass tight- and see what that does 30 minutes later. Also, FYI to all- I asked Jeff last night to verify height. He confirmed that I will be able to retain the Ram Air Pan with the Rochesters.

It will be interesting to test this intake vs the ported Barry Grant six shooter intake I have on my 65 GTO street car. I already have High Ports heads on the 434, Howards hydraulic roller cam, FiTech EFI, 200-4R, and 3.73 gears. Should be an easy swap. The car runs high 11's at 3900 pounds.
UPS delivered this style of water crossover today. I'm going to see if it works better with the sheet metal intake I have on the 535 in my Grand Prix. The one I cut off a Victor intake is used up.

Had some really good flow numbers. http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...ockrin+tempest "I flow tested both the P65 and the offy years ago and the P65 was lousy flowing whereas the offy had pretty decent flow. Another thing, Joe Cockrin (sp) the guy with the altered wheelbase 63 tempest years ago bolted a offy Dual quad intake on his 61 catalina and the car ran 10.0s. How bad can that intake be?? " Tom V. Some older but really good info. Tom V.
