We bought a Mule today.
I get too tired walking from the edge of the field down to the creek to look for artifacts. So my wife and I went to the local off rod store today just to get an idea of what we would want,
How did that go, you ask? Not too well! WE ended up buying a 2024 Kawasaki Mule, SX model with fuel injection. It has one rear wheel drive or I can lock in both for two rear rear wheel drive and I can throw a lever and have full four wheel drive. I think it will do just want we want it to around the house and at the farms I visit. My wife may not look the happiest but that's because she got th e pleasure of paying for it.

Of all the various pieces of equipment I've bought for the farm the 4WD quad created less buyers remorse than anything else. It's been extremely useful, and extremely low maintenance. Every time I use it to get around the place I realize what a good decision it was.

Congrats!
My wife had been wanting one for a few years to run errands when she goes into town. I balked at the prices. We found a low hour 3 year old Polaris Ranger XP 900 a few months back as a compromise. 1/3 the price of a new one, but looks/runs like it’s brand spanking new.

Women are drawn to own or drive these things for some reason. My mother bought a used 2008 700FI Yamaha Rhino 11 years ago and loves it. |

Congrats! Looks like a useful vehicle and will definitely be fun.
We just moved, "downsizing" from small acreage and returning to suburbia. I will miss the Yamaha ATV I sold with the house. I used it to run around and drag implements. It made crappy jobs like spraying weeds a LOT more fun! You'll find reasons to haul stuff all over...get the mail, pick up some trash, weeds to the burn pile, and anything else just to get in the mule. |

Heck, took mine ( eer…my wife’s) into town today for my son’s flag football tournament. Beats trying to park the Duramax.

Congratulations Phil... Considering what part of the state you're in I was half expecting the hay eating variety!

I really enjoy metal detecting and relic hunting. The following pics are some finds from the creek and a CS staff officer's coat button I found. I think the red Savannah River style point is my favorite , so far. They may not be much but I get a kick out of finding them. And, I have been doing it for about 50 years. I bet you have n some nice civil war sites to hunt where you're at. There was very little action in my part of the state. Mostly post war occupation forces.

She drove it this evening and really liked it. She doesn't like to ride in the passenger side because she can't reach the grab bar on the front of the roll cage so I have ordered two hand grips to hang from the top of the roll cage bar.

She moved to the driver's seat this afternoon and is figuring out how to attach her dogs seat so they can cruise.

I just figured $9,300+ tax wasn't too much more and it comes with a 3 year warranty.

I got a 2016 Kawasaki Mule 610 XC camo edition several years ago and love it, especially the dump bed. It is not fast like a lot of those 20k models you see running up and down the highways nowadays, but it is perfect for work around the property. Mule is a good name for it, it is real rugged. I bought it with 70 hrs on it from elderly owner, was a heck of a good bargain!
