Will someone post a picture of the OEM correct nuts to attach the trunk emblem?
Is it a pal nut or push nut or something else? Thanks. |

Probably short studs. The post barely pokes through the nut. I took a picture this morning but it didn't come out good. Here is what the nut looks like:

They're PAL acorn nuts, can be seen in the Ames online catalog L102.

I have one long and one short stud on my original trunk emblem.
Replacement NOS number is 8701433 Some of those on sale on eBay may not include the nuts so you'll have to check. |

IF you have the early emblem with stubby studs yess acorn nut IFyou purchase a reproduction sometimes you get the longer stud 68-9 GTO embbblem then you will need the tin nut thats why I asked if you need a couple originals I have a dozen or so ... i would pick a nice pair if wanted 6.00 mailed,,, basically the cost of envelope n postage Scott |
