Really nice looking 73 TA
This car looks really nice. Pricey for a non-SD car, I think. But still a beautiful car. It's got a incorrect LH rear spoiler end cap. Also looks like a 70 open face alternator, wasn't that a 70 only part??

They have had that a while. What's the asking price?

Price is $139,900. I know it is Brewster Green and a 4 speed, but this is super duty money. Not worth it to me with a D port 455.
If it was a resto mod with a six speed, high horse power engine and suspension work. I can see it at that price with those upgrades. |

If you mean the car as it sits, I agree. If upgraded like I outlined the 139K is the right price.

I watch their videos and check out their website periodically. Dave seems like a nice guy. Do they actually sell a lot seems like the same cars on on there? Looks like they sell about 1 in 6 months. Or anyone you know gotten work done by them?

According to their website this '73 is going to be on Bring a Trailer very soon.
It will be interesting what this bids to. I don't think it will sell in this current down market environment. |

I think he knows/knew what the ask was and that's why he bid that high. Probably hasn't hit reserve yet and kind of killed any hype, bidding high so early.

Looks like a nice car from the pics. Checks all the right boxes other than not an SD car. 2nd gen Birds are Hot, Hot Hot. 106K with 6 days to go. Watch this bird soar. 150K+ wouldn't surprise me at this point.

Jhein,
I went to go look at what you're talking about, and I noticed the bottom of the left end spoiler cap goes below the bottom of the taillight. The right cap is above the bottom edge. Seems like they should have found the correct cap to use. Still a beautiful car though. |

It doesn't even have the right Rally II's. How hard would it have been to get something closer? Plus the carb. is not a correct 7043265.
I don't get the awe of the Brewster Green color. And it was built way too early for all these people to be calling it a McQ car.

My 2 cents.. rear end is pitted pretty good, but hey it's got 5 leafs!! And check out that sway bar drop link?? How about the lower sway bar bushing?
Typical of restore a muscle car...

This car sold for 112K + fees. Seems like strong money for a non-SD but far short of what the selling dealer must have thought it was worth. They had it on their wed site for nearly 140K. But they sold it, so either they felt that was top of the market now or if it was consigned, the seller re-evaluated his position on it. The very early bid of 106K the first day must have been a shill bid by the dealer to get it started?

Bids from a shill?
I find it amazing that well known cars that have been for sale forever by dealers/ individuals/auction houses end up being bid up to astronomical prices on that particular site. Splain that one.

There is no way for me to understand how that car was worth that much money. However much or little I know about 73 T/As, in my opinion, the top end of the market for that car was $75,000 USD.

Brewster Green and a stick.
If one wants one today, what other options do they have? Easier to make the money than find the car or have one restored. Lots of money out there. Be happy it got that much (unless you are looking for one. Ha) |
