Default Low mileage 1973 Formula

https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...d.php?t=871393

Well, I can finally say I own it, title in hand. I snapped a few exterior photos for insurance purposes after getting new tires (old ones were '06 and one '08), so I'll start there.

Mirror codes. Can't seem to find a lot of the photos. I'll keep looking.

Radio didn't work, burned up speaker. Check out the ash tray and underside...

And, of course, my obsession, the air cleaner (it's a 2 bbl.) but it came with an NOS Ram Air air cleaner assy. He was thinking of upgrading things since he purchased it new. I have some of his notes that were jotted down, but don't know when he did it.

SWEET!!! Awesome find! Love the D98. I have had 3 cars with that and don't know which combo was on them originally. I am sure you'll enjoy it!

Just stunning...congrats

I haven't seen rocker moldings like that before. Are they original to the car?

Formula had the thin one, Esprit had the fat one and Trans Am had none. Base Firebird, I'm not sure on if there was an option and what it would have been.

very cool.

Honestly, I'd leave it as a 2bbl... but that's just me.

Quite likely one of few '70 Muncie three speed Formula 400's left.

He (or someone) already incorrectly opened up the snorkels on the hood, so I may be working on a 2 bbl based Ram Air air cleaner (I'll be using the repop unit I have, not the NOS). But it's tricky as the bases floor are different between the 2.
