Edelbrock D-ports: what lifters, pushrods and rockers
I took the round port 72cc Edelbrock heads off of my spare engine and sold them. I'm going with 87cc D-port Edelbrock heads, with a fairly tame Summit 2801 cam. I have to maintain a low profile to fit the valve covers under the AC blower under the hood.
Can I just order stock lifters, pushrods and rockers? I was hoping to just get some stock iron heads, but rebuilt ones cost the same or more than the Edelbrocks. It would be nice if I could just order this stuff from Rock Auto. |

Pushrod length
I have KRE's. Since they and Edelbrocks require the same aftermarket head bolts I'm going to go out on a limb and say the push rod length requirement would be the same or similar. I have an HFT cam with stock lifters and pushrods. 1.65 full roller rocker arms. Under stock rocker arm/valve covers. This is the pattern across the valve tip.

I suggest you buy an adjustable pushrod and measure- this isn’t a step where you should take a short cut.
