TH400 transmission help
Any transmission & CAM guys out there that can help with information? Will my 455 with this cam give me enough vacuum to properly work with my auto valve body TH400?

I would say yes.
I ran a larger cam than that and the T400 I built shifted fine in D. |

What heads are you running?
The size of the chamber effects the level of idle vacuum you pull also. I would also hope that with a cam of those specs that your running at least 9.5 to 1.?

The TH400 vacuum sensing / operated light throttle upshifts with the stock modulator are pretty care free but after your built and driving and want a different experience you can opt for the aftermarket adjustable unit to tune light throttle in town stop light to stop light shift points, because there is little shaft speed
Right foot down to the floor shift points are controlled by the governor by changing weights and springs, because there is little vacuum
