Default How To Remove the Dash Pad & Instrument Panel?

Looked through the Fisher body manual and don't see much help there. How big a deal is it to remove the dash pad and instrument cluster from a 67 Catalina? Special tools needed?

Found a YouTube video on a 66 - similar?

Very simple and I didn't remove the front seat. Remove the pad 1st.

I guess my specific questions are:

- any hidden fasteners on the dash pad? I see 7 or 8 screws underneath the lip that are easy to get to. On the '66 video he had to go in under the cowl to reach a hidden fastener... any here?

- Once the dash pad is off, can you reach all fasteners that hold the instrument panel in?

There are 2 clip ins where the dash wraps down on the ends, have to be careful where you can wedge a big flat screw driver between the metal lower dash and top dash. Once you pop out the ends, also remember to remove 7 or 8 screws under the dash lip.

Thanks for that. I’m doing a full re wire on this old convertible. Getting dash out is a must. I appreciate the response. It’s a big undertaking but I’ll get it.
