What is the thread size and pitch for the rocker arm deflectors 66 LeMans 326?

Anyone? I've tried 3/8" both fine and coarse and neither seems to be it.

They’re 3/8-24 UNF.

Self-locking type that looks like a castle nut.

Would that have a nylon locking mechanism at the end of something different?

No nylon, the slots cut in the upper half to the nut provide the locking action.

Kind of like a castle nut used on tie rod ends just the slots are very thin.

It's called a Marsden nut. AMK sells them, along with other specialty hardware.
