Header fits! As in I’m having a fit
Doug’s headers on Edelbrock round ports. Pass side I got no issues. Drivers side….. here’s my question should I notch the frame where the a arm attaches? Or dent the 1200.00 header..it also looks like I have to shave a little off the motor mount as well as it looks like it’s paper thin to touching the #1 tube

Generalz this is the stuff thats killing me LOL i went your flex line route for the pass side as the trans cooler lines wouldnt fit. And i thought that side was gonna be the pita. My dougs D-ports with iron heads fit perfectly. now from the searches im discovering the e-heads are wider....

Welding
You good at welding?
Cut the radius off the suspension mount on that side and weld in a flat plate to connect to two sides. Don't trust yourself welding, well you know the other option. It is a suspension component. better do it right. Least if you have to dent the header you won't see it from up top.

So tbfh to the rescue. I used a product I use at work for refrigeration to keep heat off things you don’t wanna incinerate called Thermo trap. It does a great job at absorbing heat so I didn’t have to destroy the header. Tubbys got them nice and hot. Bunch of smacks with the hammers. Put it back in. Took it back out. Put it back in took it back out. Looks like this is gonna work just fine

With the motor lifting on this side I think I’ll be ok. Pics didn’t turn out but it looks like a 1/2 inch from frame.

I had the same problem with mine. Doug's with O-port E-heads. I called there tech support, they told me to "ding" the tube. I spent $1000 on coated headers and you want me to take them out of the box and take a hammer to them. I sent them back. I ended up buying the OBX (?) Doug's knockoffs that were stainless and took a hammer to them. Those headers were a fraction of the price, about $300 if I remember right. Not sure they even make them anymore.

I woulda cut some off of that bracket. Wouldn't hurt a thing as long as it was blended well. That ding in the tube won't hurt anything either though.
