1963 Grand Prix Clutch Linkage Question
I just purchased a 63 G/P that is a factory 4 speed car, however, the linkage, pedals, etc were long gone. I did just pick up a complete 62 setup including the pedals. Will all of this work in my 63? And from what ive read on here so far, i can run a muncie or super T10 with the factory bellhousing correct? This is my first go with a pontiac, so any and all info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Or what would be involved going with a new aluminum bellhousing.

The 1962 is way more complicated than the 1963 but it should work. Years ago I went the other way and put 1963 parts in our 1962 race car. Worked fine.

The 63 assaid is better.A late alu bell housing will require a block mounted starter and I doubt you block if a 63 is made for one.Tom

Sell off the 61/62 linkage and get 63/64 pieces. Much simpler design and you will be glad you did. Seriously!

I you have a 62 bell the 62 linkage will be a OK install. If a 63 bell it is threaded for a screwin ball for the Zbar. The 62 linkage uses a bronze bushing in that hole for the 62 setup. If you decide to use the 61-62 linkage use a B&B clutch pressure plate and not a diaphragm.Tom
