The car got down the track only a handful of times last season. The customer said the car sounded, felt and accelerated completely different than the previous season. In the limited time out, the car picked up 4 MPH and exposed other suspension issues with the car. Those items are being addressed this off season, this increase in power came with the same camshaft, carb, compression, convertor and gearing. The engine is slightly larger as the cylinders were honed for clean up.

Should be looking at a good 7-8 mph increase then if a true 100 horsepower increase was seen... at least that's what I have seen from my customers with the same parameters.

That's what I would expect too once the bugs are worked out and with some time on the car.

I talked with the customer for an update and track info. He is very happy with the performance gains achieved. The car is three tenths faster, he is leaving at a lower RPM and only shifting at 7,000 RPM. He knows there is a lot more in it if he wants to push the engine harder.

Tiger deck insert update- He just did a leak down test and the center cylinders with the insert has virtually no leak down and is sealing better than the outside cylinders.

He's not going to touch the engine this offseason.

I don't have a copy of the time slip, but I was told 8.teens @ 170 MPH. Feels the car should run some 8.0's.
