Accelerator cable looks stretched to the limit, may break when torquing up.

Wow, that looks great.
I usually don't like after market over sized wheels but those look really good. That is a really sharp looking car, enjoy. |

Engine complete!!
After going through what felt like torture for the last couple of months, I gave the car to a friend of mine who is is strictly a GTO guy and knows his stuff. the car was running like crap. or thats if it would run and not leave me stranded. He said leave it with me for a week and Ill get it ruining right.
He found bad (really bad) wiring, bad connections and a few other things and this car now pulls hard and runs strong. Im os very happy with it. Buit now its time to focus on other things. Heres one: Dash bezel: Someone replaced the wood once before and loaded up on the glue. I spent half the day today scraping it off with a chisel. I think I finally have it clean for the most part. Questions arise as to how to take off the headlight knob, the windshield wiper knob and the cig lighter. Im sure its easy but Im missing something. Take a look at the pic below. I cant find it but does anyone reproduce the bezel that goes over the heat controls? The bezel is pitted badly. Is there anyone here that has one? Also, screws for the clock in the far right pod. Correct size? I have none. Last edited by Old Blue 66; 07-27-2014 at 02:00 PM. |

Reach up under the dash and feel for a little spring loaded push button on the headlight switch. Push it in and pull the knob all the way out. Make sure to disconnect the battery first. There should be a small Allen screw in the wiper knob and the lighter housing unscrews from the back.
Someone here should have a nice bezel.

Pull the headlight knob part way out and then push/hold that little spring loaded button. Then the knob and shaft will come out.
While you do that, switch the front parking light purple wire over to the empty tab connected to the tail lights.
