Awesome build. Work looks first class for sure. I'm curious why you went with a ladder bar setup and not 4 link? Class rules? Can ladder bars handle the HP this beast will make?

[QUOTE=twooldgoats;4842470]FWIW, I was told years ago not to powdercoat suspension parts, because it might make cracks more difficult to see in the future. Not sure if it's a "wive's tale" or not.
Jim That is true not possible until they break. Powered coat on chassie parts that do work not so good. Marty P. |

Ladder bars were an easy choice for me. They work better for the street racing stuff and most classes nowadays are accepting ladder bars and not 4 links. Some even give weight breaks for ladder bars. Our nova has ladder bars and runs 4.6s in the 1/8th at 3400lbs, and we love em. My ladder bars are 1 3/8 chromoly so I think they will work.

I have heard that as well, but Ive had great luck with powdercoated suspension pieces for a long time and its super easy to clean up and keep looking good. Ill ask my chassis guy if he advises against it before I have everything done just to be sure he is ok with it. It is very hard to see cracks in powdercoat before it's to late. I would recommend any stressed parts be painted or nothing at all. Also I think your in a different world now....... Marty P. |

Yes I have the trz steering arms, and the chromoly trz spindles. They compliment my trz a arms nicely and are a very good fit and finish.

Hoping to have suspension car home in 4-6 weeks with turbos hung and all piping done. Then assemble engine, wiring, fuel system, interior etc. Then take it all back apart and haul it to paint shop. Lol then re assemble and start the tuning/learning process. It will be done as fast as my budget will allow. It would be sweet to make a pass in it this year.
