Any info is good info when it come to our cars. Knowing this though blows me away. I knew they put all those scoops on the formula one cars for a reason but didn't know why. Now we do. Thaks Alvin.

One still has to remember that what comes in. Still has to go out at a equal rate.

MYAM thats not really correct. You can put more out then in as far as air , thats why the exhaust valves are smaller. You can get more air out then in with the same or even smaller amount of room.

Is it possible to under carb a ram air system? Maybe not achieve the full potential of your engine? (650 cfm/800cfm)? Maybe that's what I'm confused about.

Yes it's very easy to have to little carb & that way you will run out of gas when you need it to feed the engine properly.

I just love this hood detail drawing, especially since it's what was designed for our 1973 Grand Am

That said - love to see all of this happen soon. Thxs to all for your efforts to make it happen.
Edit: The Subject Hood Design Deserves to be included here, yes? Because for now, our GA induction is somewhat "suppressed"... Last edited by Alvin; 04-12-2015 at 02:30 AM. |

Courtesy of the Pontiac-Oakland Museum, I found some very interesting pics for you 73-77 A-Body guys. Some of these pics are very hard to locate within the vast library of the museum, but persistence, and a little Excedrin, seem to help.
1973 Grand Prix in the paint drying booth The SD455 that never was.
