The GM Canada Report looks like a good addition to the PHS information. I called the 800 number Held for Ransom listed above but during the holidays but no one was working there that could help me. I’ll try them again later this week.

I wish my GTO was optioned like the docs posted by Baron Von Zeppelin or Scott70’s cars!

The option list provided by PHS matches with the way I bought the car 23 years ago. I was hoping to discover that the vinyl top was added so that I could delete it during the restoration. On the PHS the car was equipped with G70x14 WL FG tires. Are these Firestone Wide Oval white letter tires, black wall or white wall?

Build sheet will sometimes have a tire brand reference. If no build sheet, you're SOL on the brand.

By the way, "WL FG" on the tire reference you gave = White-Lettered, FiberGlass belted tires.

HTH!

We caught that glitch about LS-5 when Jason got papers. No idea why they included tech spec about a 71 model. Actual spec data of car build shows correct L74 Ram3.

However (in partial defense), the 455HO (360 horse) was a no-cost alternate to Ram3 on a 70 Judge.

Wake - White Letter tires = WL.
Goodyear or Firestone was dependent on plant. I don't have those particulars. I like the G'years.

No sin in deleting a vinyl top - ever.

[scott70 - is your GTO Turquoise with Saddle interior ? Your cowl tag should have M21 code stamped.[/QUOTE]

Yes,mint turquoise with saddle and 69' judge stripes(right now its cardinal red,I plan on a near future redo back to factory). It does say m21 on the cowl tag.Sounds like I should do the GM canada info????

From some paint specs, looks like mint turq. is the second rarest color to go on a 70 gto ,,orbit orange being the rarest.I dont know if thats a good thing or not.LOL
