Thanks for coming on and updating us . Did you find a buildsheet taking the car apart ? Curious if it might show what area the car actually shipped to - or any special notes in the lower ledger . You're doing some really nice work Will be an outstanding car . And will correct my files to Burg-Black-Black |

Never found a buildsheet. Would be interesting to know more about the history of the car especially with the over seas distribution on the PHS. My understanding is that didn't always mean it was shipped overseas but was purchased special order by a person in the military..

Right about that.
The ones that did go out - the Export Fee was $15 minimum And they usually had KILO speedometer option. Not a good or full copy that i have of the PHS Is there any Destination Amount in lower right column ? Supposed to be that active service personnel stationed abroad could have the car delivered to any dealer free of charge. Or maybe this was a contingency just during "periods of war/conflict" . idunno Those stationed stateside - or not during "periods of war/conflict" evidently did pay shipping. Sometimes the shipping amount can help pinpoint possible areas of delivery. |

I had a LeMans Sport that color. It was called: Rosewood.

FYI, for anyone that still cares, that 70 vert is still available, but it has a SR block. Theft occurred early in vehicle's life resulting in broken motor replaced by dealer. No paperwork supporting same.

IF i remember right -- it was one of those Classifieds listings.
Like listing it on a website for exposure with just an asking price. Similar to listing on Hemmings website etc ... Wasn't an auction or Buy-it-Now or Make-an-Offer scenario through eBay per se'. You contact seller and make your own deal. IF i remember right. |

Was it a '71?
Rosewood is a completely different color. |

The pics in post #5 definitely look like Rosewood to me, which is a ‘71 color. But same code (78/N) as ‘70. Totally different hue than the earlier burgundies.
