Guess I should have asked for a pic of the rear cover.
The 7 1/2" rears are relatively easy to distinguish from the 10 1/2" rears, never thought about it being mixed up. Checked and in 1976 the FC was for the 7 1/2" rear. Possibly the '7' stamped is for a 7 1/2" rear? Sorry that it wasn't what you wanted.

Thanks for the help, it's no biggie just an extra layin around I was going to scrap if it wasn't worth keeping. I kept the drivetrain out of the 69 and couldn't figure what this was, should fetch me $15
