The seat screw up is no doubt PUI. I had the same problem with them. Ames told me at the time that they "thought" they caught all the bad ones. I sent them a picture and they sent me a whole new set. I got stuck on the labor though. I have seen a lot of 65's with the wrong ones. Even a Guru like Paul Mennin didn't notice it till I pointed it out to him in his Irish Mist with parchment.

How's this? These were NOS splitters on my '64 GTO. Picture taken in 1985 during our drive to Denver for the POCI Convention. We were in Colorado or Wyoming when this picture was taken.

Good pic. Hey, that lady in the picture appears to be running to get into your goat and steal it!

After reading this post the other day I went out and checked the interior package I purchased from PY a couple years back for the 65 Tri Power I purchased from a forum member ( because of health reasons the project has been on hold a year and half now) .
What I found was the panels in the back seat bottom were reversed. Yes they were PIU . I sent an email out to PUI sales very late this past Friday ( 11-23 ) night asking if there was anything that could be done even though I purchased them almost 3 years ago . Monday ( 11-27 ) morning I received two emails from two different individuals. The second being Todd . I called him directly and he asked me to send pictures of the problem I had experienced with the seat covers. I did that yesterday and I received a reply today That's two days guys, I was treated with respect and very professional. Will I buy their product again ? Yes I have bought their products over the years and will continue too, standing behind their product means a returning customer.
Note reply from Todd @ PUI :

Don,

I have determined by the part numbers written on the labels that you purchased this interior from Performance Years.

I will order you a no charge replacement 65GS10C 65 GTO coupe rear seat in black and send it to you.

If you go back on the PY forum please let the Pontiac faithful know that PUI takes care of our warranty issues.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks Todd

I just thought you guys should see this .

Don
