You can't get a formula 400 with a T/A hood. However, you can get a T/A with a formula/shaker hood combo

Welcome aboard, we love pictures more than the other site.

Let's see...
4,543 4-speed Firebird, Esprit, Formula and TA's made, less
1,750 400/4-speed Trans Am, less
...212 SD-455/4-speed TA, less
....17 SD-455/4-speed Formula, equals
-----
2,564 4-speed Firebird, Esprit and Formula's (I have no further breakdown)

The label I was after is on the side of the air cleaner base, not the lid (I saw it in the pictures posted on other site).

Peter already posted (on other site) that your transmission should be a Borg-Warner unit.

Ill post a couple photos later. I looked at the filter base and Ill get a shot of the sticker. Is it the part number your intersted in? I think it had PH 6488275

I think that was actually a special order "Francis "Ponch" Poncherello" Hood.

Wink

Back in the day that Formula/Shaker deal was a somewhat popular backyard modification. I even saw a fiberglass body part manufacturer offering those hoods. NOW, we all know better.
